Who Owns The Portfolio

Every week it as if a new light bulb goes on in my head.  I have always loved to learn but these last two courses have given me an excitement about learning that I never imagined existed.  When thinking of who owns the portfolio, you  must think of who owns the information.  Ownership of ideas leads to deeper learning.  It is my assumption that we would want the people who view our portfolios to take meaningful information away from it.

From the start we have been given ownership over what we create along with the ownership of choosing the platform in which we will display this information.  I believe this will be our most authentic work because we have total control.  I now look at my assignments from a different perspective.  Its not about fitting everything into someone’s “box”, its about exploring ourselves and the different avenues in which we can showcase our learning.  Building my portfolio has not been easy and some days it hasn’t even been fun but knowing that I have control over every aspect makes it worth it.
