My name is Kimberly Joiner. I am from La Marque, TX. I graduated with my Bachelors degree from the University of Houston-Downtown.
Currently I teach resource math at Jane Long Academy in Houston ISD. I pride myself on being a lifetime learner. Currently I am seeking a Masters of Education degree from Lamar University. I’m not one who dreamed of being a teacher since they were a child. I made this decision about ten years ago when I stepped into my mother’s classroom and saw the passion in which she had for teaching. I saw the faces of her students who were excited about learning. It was then when I decided that I wanted to also make a difference in the lives of our children.
Teaching is a very rewarding task. It comes with good days and bad days like anything else but knowing that you have had the chance to just reach one child makes it all worth it.
I have two children whom I love very much.
