Action research refers to a wide variety of evaluative, investigative and analytical research methods designed to diagnose problems and help educators develop practical solutions to address them quickly and efficiently. Action research is broken down up into 4 stages that encompasses 9 stages. The four stages are planning, acting, developing and reflection.

In our first assignment we created an outline of our action research plan that briefly addresses how to address the stages and steps in action research. Once we developed our research question we then found literature that provides support and details for our action research. Lastly we developed an action research plan that includes data collection and analysis that will be used to update our innovation plan.
