Developing Effective Professional Learning

prodev

Over the past give weeks I have reflected on professional learning and how it can be enhanced to effective implement my innovation plan.

The 5 Effective Principles of Professional Development have provided the perfect blueprint for making sure professional development equips administration as well as faculty and staff to implement blended learning in the classroom.

During the five weeks of this course I created a call to action video.  In this video you will see why professional development as we know it needs to be changed and how I plan to ensure teachers leave professional development feeling empowered and capable to carryout the task at hand.

The last thing I was able to develop was a detailed professional learning plan outline which explicitly details every step of the learning process.  This working document allows for complete transparency.  Every activity is is listed with dates, learner objectives, and resources included.  The learner is able to see specific activities that are scheduled in order to foster true professional development and growth.
